Tanya Hunt is a senior communications professional with wide-ranging expertise in government relations, media relations, public relations and project management. Her work has been concentrated in the non-profit sector, serving clients in government, health care, and education.

 

She received her Master of Jurisprudence (MJ) in Health Law from Loyola University Chicago and her BA in Telecommunications and German from Indiana University - Bloomington.

 

Tanya began her career in Washington, D.C., and became Campaign Press Secretary and Deputy Press Secretary to a U.S. Senator, then Press Secretary for a U.S. Representative.  Her government experience led to a long-term position as Senior Manager of Government Relations and Public Affairs for the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS).  Prior to joining JPR Group, she served as Senior Public Relations and Communications Consultant to the City School District of New Rochelle in New Rochelle, NY.

An avid volunteer, Tanya has served as President and Trustee on the Irvington, NY Board of Education and as President of Irvington’s Parent-Teacher-Student Association (PTSA). Currently, she is Co-Chair of Irvington’s About Safe Kids Coalition-Community Advisory Board (iASK-CAB).
